The P-47 was the most produced American fighter during WWII. Entering service in November of 1942 and the Razorback model, it constantly changed throughout the war. Our version is the “D” model with the bubble canopy. The heaviest single engine fighter of the war, it excelled at high altitude (40,000 + ft.) and could out dive any aircraft of WWII. It could carry up to 2,500 lbs. of rockets and bombs and low level strafing it had no equal. Only short comings was only 1,000 mile range.
