Germany in WWI requested a bi-plane for a new ground attack, but Hugo Junkers believed strongly in monoplanes and produced the CL1. They bought the design but had Folker joint venture to produce sufficient numbers. The CL1-J10 was the final design and three were built with floats.A very successful WWI ground attack aircraft, unusual because of it’s low wing.
